365 Photo Project

To help aid in my photography practice, I joined 365project.org, which is a site where you upload a picture every day and others can comment on it.  I am only 9 days in, but am loving it so far.  It forces me not only to shoot every day, but to try new things often as well.  It's a little intimidating putting photos out there for others to comment on, but the feedback so far has been a confidence booster!  I'm hoping that by the end of the 365 days I will be able to see great progression in my photos.

I thought I would be able to just tell you all my username so you could follow me on the website if you wanted to....but I can't (or can't figure it out if I can).  So, instead I will just periodically post my pictures here for viewing if interested.  We will call it "Photo Fridays"  :)  Here are my first 9 pictures:

I was out taking pictures of one of the covered bridges and just couldn't get the shot I wanted.  I had read that "sometimes the best shot is behind you", so I turned around loved what I saw.

Rylee loves to read novels!  Nevermind she can't really read ;)

While driving the gravel roads on our way somewhere I noticed how blue the sky was this day and how neat the clouds were laid out, so I pulled over and took some shots of this old windmill with the sky as the background.

This shot was a practice in "anticipating the moment".  I was sitting on the kitchen floor, my camera settings all ready to go, just waiting for the moment they both looked into the jar at the same time.  I was SO EXCITED when I caught it!!!

The morning sun was shining in through my window over the kitchen sink and I knew I needed to do something with it.  Natural light is a very beautiful thing!
