It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!!

Okay, so I KNOW it's only Halloween and we still have Thanksgiving to get through....but I just can't wait any longer to say that I AM SO EXCITED FOR CHRISTMAS this year!!!!  Normally, fall is my favorite season to decorate for and I loathe the coming of winter.  However, for some reason I just wanted to have a quick fall and move straight to Christmas season this year.  I barely decorated for fall and didn't even have my Halloween Party that I so enjoyed making food for last year. 

The Target toy ad came in the mail yesterday and I think I was just as excited as my 3.5 year old!!  I couldn't wait to tear it open!  We did get the Fleet and Farm toy catalog a few weeks ago and have been through it a million times and circled several dozen items (some more than once)...but the farm store just doesn't compare to Target!  And I hear the Toys R Us catalog is out too...we didn't get that one :( 

I think my excitement for the holiday is stemming from having a child who understands Christmas (and by that I mean the "I get new toys" part of Christmas) and is able to get into the spirit.  I caught her singing "Jingle Bells" today :)  I think November 1st will be the official date Christmas songs will be allowed in the car!  I'm not gonna lie...even the years that I have been a scrooge, one month just isn't long enough for Christmas songs!! 

I also started a gift list for the holiday way back in January for everyone I buy gifts for.  As I think of something throughout the year, I add it to my list.  This has also helped me get excited, because half of my usual battle is not knowing what to get everyone on my list. 

Possibly my favorite part about this particular coming holiday season is that my husband finally agreed to let me get an artificial tree!!  I'm so excited!!  I know a real tree smells pretty and it is fun to pick it out...but I just really want an artificial one.  I want to be able to put it up whenever I want and not have to worry about watering it or picking up needles.  Don't worry...I won't put it up this weekend....but only because I am hosting Thanksgiving at my house, otherwise....

Oh, so many more things I'm excited about...but I will stop there since you are probably all saying "Make it stop; let's get through Thanksgiving first."  I will just head back over to Pinterest to keep adding to my Christmas board :)  But seriously, I can't be the only one looking forward to the sights and sounds of Christmas?!?!?!?!
